Dan Mullen’s impressive resume at Mississippi State is giving him another coaching job in the SEC.  Mullen has agreed to terms with the University of Florida to become their next Head Football Coach.  Florida was also considering Chip Kelly as their new coach before he decided to go to UCLA, as well as UCF’s Scott Frost.  Mullen was formerly the Offensive Coordinator at Florida for four seasons and will also re-unite with former Mississippi State AD Scott Stricklin.

Mullen holds a record of 69-46 in 9 seasons at Mississippi State, making him the 2nd-winningest coach in school history, and coached the team to their 8th straight bowl game this season.  He also led the team to the No. 1 ranking in the AP Top 25 in 2014 for the first time in school history.  Mullen will take over a Florida team coming off a 4-7 record with a 3-5 record in conference, and he has a lot of work to do to get them back to the ranks of the elites in college football.
