Connor Williams will be a future leader on an NFL offensive line, and he is ready to take his talents to the next level. The Texas Longhorns left tackle announced that he will not participate in the program’s bowl game and will declare for the 2018 NFL Draft. Many fans will question Williams’ decision to skip out on his last game in a Longhorns’ uniform, but he decided that he would prefer to avoid injury and get ready for the NFL Combine.
After missing 7 games for Texas with a torn meniscus, Williams returned to his dominant form and showed why he’s ready to take on NFL defensive lines and pass rushers. Many draft analysts cannot decide on where Williams will be taken, some having him taken in the 1st round while others have him falling to the 4th round. His Combine stats will likely give us a clearer conclusion to that question.
