The New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis left in the fourth quarter of 114-108 loss to the Utah Jazz to an injury. He never returned to the game.
Davis later found out that it was a strained left groin and he will need an MRI.
Head coach Alvin Gentry said that its “very unlikely” that he will play Saturday when the Pelicans play the Trail Blazers.
The 24 year old power forward has been of to a great start averaging 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game.
