Rob Gronkowski was suspended for one game today, after a late hit against Buffalo Bills rookie Cornerback Tre’Davious White. The incident for which Gronkowski got suspended, happened after an interception by the Bills. During the play Tre’Davious White held Gronkowski, but there was no penalty flag thrown. According to the following statement by the Patriots Tight End this aggrevated him in a way that lead to his actions

“I just don’t understand why there wasn’t a flag,” he said after the game. “It was a couple times in the game, and they’re calling me for the craziest stuff ever. And it’s crazy, like, what am I supposed to do? And then they don’t call that [on White]. It was just frustration, and that’s what happened.”

After the play White was laying on the ground, face down, when Gronkowski pushed White’s head into the ground

Rob Gronkowski announced that he will appeal the one game suspension but will likely have to sit out the Patriots’ week 14 matchup against the Miami Dolphins
